Privacy Policy

Applies to the Hooked Bridge and Hunt Bridge apps · Effective date: on release

The short version: We never record, store, or transmit your audio. Your voice is streamed live, phone-to-phone, only to the people in your bridge, and only while a session is active — then it's gone. The only data sent to us is connection diagnostics and crash reports, used to fix bugs. No ads, no third-party trackers, no analytics SDKs.

Your audio is never collected

These apps exist for live, local voice communication. Audio is captured from your microphone, sent directly to the other devices in your bridge over a peer-to-peer connection, played, and discarded. At no point is audio recorded, saved to your device, or transmitted to us or any third party. We have no ability to listen to, store, or retrieve any conversation.

What we do collect

To fix problems, the app sends the following diagnostic information to a server we operate (via Cloudflare, at logs.cfenterprises.net):

Connection logs — timestamps and events such as joining or leaving a bridge, connections and disconnections, Wi-Fi availability, and audio route or interruption events.
The display name you choose — the name you enter so others can identify you in the roster. If you enter your real name, it is included in these logs.
Performance and crash diagnostics — technical reports (via Apple's MetricKit) about crashes, hangs, battery, and performance, including your device model and app version.

This data contains no audio and no message content.

How it's handled

Diagnostic data is buffered on your device and uploaded when your device next has an internet connection. It is stored in our Cloudflare account in the United States and accessed only by us to improve the apps. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it except as needed to operate the service, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.

Permissions

Microphone — to send your voice to your bridge. Used only during a session; audio is not recorded.
Local Network — to discover and connect to nearby devices. Required for the app to work.
Bluetooth — to route audio to a headset or earbuds you connect.

TestFlight

While distributed through Apple TestFlight, Apple also collects information as described in Apple's privacy policy, including crash data and any feedback you provide. That collection is governed by Apple.

Retention, children, your rights

We keep diagnostic data only as long as useful for testing, then delete it. The apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete information about you — contact us to make a request or to have diagnostic data associated with your display name deleted.

Changes

We may update this policy as the apps evolve, and will update the effective date above.
